THE STUDIO
THE CUTTING ROOM is a boutique editing and post-production studio based in Madrid, specialized in fiction feature films, documentaries and series. Our philosophy is to accompany each project from the earliest stages of pre-production to delivery. We provide creative and technical support to ensure that the best possible version leaves our rooms. We are devoted to care, precision, and creative commitment, giving each project the time and attention it deserves.
Founded by film editor María Macías, the studio draws on her 20 years of professional experience in international environments, mainly between Madrid and Paris, including eight years at Canal+ France. With a strong track record in both fiction and documentary, her recent projects include several Goya-nominated films and titles premiered or awarded at festivals such as San Sebastian, SEMINCI, Málaga, SITGES, DOCSMX, and Fantasia, among others.
